Silent Contemplation
Today is the first day of the rest of my life. It's not to dread or to be afraid of but to embrace and enjoy, to be totally involved in the intricate moving of each minute that makes up the day in front of me. To cherish the warmth of the room, or the frigid wetness of the falling rain. Whatever is spoken or unspoken, to listen to the passion or disappointment in the inflection of the sounds, to see the spark or sadness in the reflection of the eyes. I want to invite the adventure of life into my being. I want God's voice to ring within my mind and heart. I want to hear and feel its love permiate my very spirit. I want to learn to hear the silence and be grateful for it. My inspiration is my own love for God. I want to embrace all that God has for me and see it to the completion that He has in the plan for me.
Stepping Stones
Today is the first day of my journey into the rest of the life God has granted me. How much time I have left is of no consequence nor how much time has already passed. There is only today and today is all I have to be concerned with right this very minute. There are plans to be made but they don't concern today. Today can only be lived with this day in mind and how I plan that day and live that day determines who I am, not how I am to be remembered or the accomplishments I want to achieve, but who I am. I say I am a seeker~then I must seek. I say I am an adventurer~then I must embark on an adventure...keeping in mind that I am accountable to a God who sees and records all things and is mindful of what we are doing and for whatever we are doing it.

Future Journey
It has been said, "Life is about each step along the way."
In the very busiest of lives, we can still only go one step at a time. It depends on how those steps are perceived as to where we will find ourselves. Are we going through the motions just to get the day over with so we can do something else? Are we dragging our heels every step so we don't have to do anything else? I believe the motivation behind the steps is what constitutes our lives. We can be motivated by pain and woundedness which causes alot of potholes and speedbumps. We can be motivated by greed and the need to have all that we can get which also causes a great deal of pain. Consciously, we think we have very good reasons for what we do, so we go speeding through life at the rate of a rocket ship and take no thought of what the actions of one step can do to us, our families and friendships. This is where the delimna lies. Do we continue on in the journey we have started already or do we sit for a moment and let our minds go free to see if something bigger than us is happening within this world and reach out and touch it?
